And we’re about to tell you all the juicy details that go on behind the scenes while arranging them. An event that still puts a huge smile on our faces was our collaboration with Monkey Shoulder!!!
Why do we still buzz about it? Because at Market 33, we’re not just about serving meals & drinks; we’re about crafting experiences.
How it all begins — Sparks and Spirits
We do this by hosting special nights where our team can unleash their creativity. It all starts with a spark of an idea — and then we get the juices flowing.
This time… We partnered with Monkey Shoulder to showcase their high-class whiskey and mesmerize our guests with fabulous cocktails: Monkey Funky Friday.
Amsterdam Events at Market 33: How It All Begins
Here’s how we roll:
1. Brainstorm — Ideas fly as freely as the cocktails.
2. Styling Settings — Debating themes and decorations until everything screams ‘fabulous’.
3. Shake it— Crafting a drinks’ menu that tickles all senses
4. Timely Arrangements: Nailing down the logistics, from deliveries to DJ sets.
5. Music to Our Ears: Picking tunes that’ll get even the shyest wallflowers dancing.
After a couple of cocktails… we mean, hours, we have a solid plan in place for our food events.
The Main Event: Cocktails, Tunes, and Cheers
Flash forward to the D-Day (Delicious Day, in our books) with Monkey Shoulder.
The morning of Monkey Funky Friday buzzes with activity, setting up before the lunch crowd sweeps in. By 3:00 PM, we began re-arranging everything to create the stage.
Complete with a pop-up bar at the entrance offering cocktail samples for free, finalized the decorations, and gave a quick briefing to the staff.
Then all that awaited was people arriving.
Some were not even aware of the event, they just stopped by because of our delicious food. They were pleasantly surprised and got a taste of the OMG cocktail (Orange Monkey Ginger), which kept them returning for more.
As the clock struck 6:30 PM, the venue was packed, the live music kicked off with our beloved saxophonist Robert, and Ezra, our bartender-turned-DJ, spanned records that got all hips moving. At the bar, the whiskey was in full spotlight.
Our bartenders crafted versatile cocktails, that were as complex as they were delicious. As the final notes fade out and the dimming lights signal the evening’s end.
Our guests depart with bellies full and spirits high, already dreaming of their next visit.
