Six months ago, I walked into Market 33 for the very first time—not as a customer, but nervously early for a job interview. I arrived 30 minutes ahead of time. On purpose.
I didn’t want to just talk about the brand—I wanted to feel it.
Like many, I expected the usual food market experience: noisy, cramped, chaotic. But Market 33 immediately broke the stereotype. It was open, calming, and thoughtfully designed—a blend of modern café, indoor food hall, community hub, and urban restaurant space.
Tucked into Claude Debussylaan in the heart of Amsterdam’s Zuidas, it felt like a true escape from the corporate world around it. Little did I know, this would become one of the most energizing places I’ve ever worked.
Then came lunch—and everything changed.
The calm gave way to a rush of life—professionals from nearby offices, students escaping deadlines, and tourists discovering Amsterdam’s food scene. Market 33 transformed into a vibrant food market full of chatter, aromas, and energy.
I heard at least five languages in just a few minutes. People were laughing, sharing fries, recommending their favorite dishes, and chatting about our sister location, Market 27 in Amsterdam Noord.
This rhythm returns again in the evening. From midday breaks to after-work meetups, Market 33 offers something familiar and comforting, yet fresh and exciting every time.
It’s diverse, spontaneous, and full of character—the kind of real-life atmosphere you can’t replicate online.
Since that first day, I’ve stepped into my role as Marketing Coordinator for both Market 33 and Market 27.
For context—Market 33 has been part of Amsterdam’s food market scene since 2016, offering a fresh, local alternative to the typical lunch spots and chain restaurants in Zuidas.
We run a mix of online and offline marketing—from social media, email campaigns, and event promotions to vendor storytelling, community partnerships, and physical activations. But here’s what I’ve learned:
Word of mouth isn’t something you hope for—it’s something you earn. And we work hard to earn it—by making sure our guests have genuinely good experiences worth talking about. Every detail matters, from food quality and service to energy.
Marketing is a long game. It takes time for people to not just notice a brand, but to trust it enough to bring their colleagues, recommend it to friends, or turn it into their go-to lunch or dinner spot.
That’s the kind of growth we care about—real, steady, human-driven.
One thing that continues to surprise me is how much the people here mean to me.
Our vendors, bar staff, content helpers—everyone is kind, creative, and passionate about what they do. They’ve become more than coworkers—they’re one of the reasons I look forward to walking into Market 33 each day.
Whether it’s helping shoot content, offering feedback on a campaign idea, or simply making space for a coffee break in the middle of the day, the community at Market 33 is what makes it thrive.
Each food stand tells a story. And every person here brings that story to life—whether it’s through a sizzling Mexican taco, a creamy ramen broth, or a perfectly poured drink from the bar.
Market 33 is located in the heart of Claude Debussylaan, surrounded by offices and modern architecture. But walk inside, and you’re greeted by warmth, flavor, and soul.
It’s a modern indoor food hall that doesn’t feel like your typical street food market or restaurant. With its spacious layout, 10 different food stands, and lively bar, it offers the perfect balance of variety, quality, and comfort.
From Asian fusion to Mediterranean bowls, Mexican flavors, and after-work drinks, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re in a rush or settling in for a long catch-up.
Market 33 is where Zuidas professionals, creatives, students, and travelers come to recharge. It’s where moments happen, not just meals.
Market 33 isn’t just a food hall. It’s a rhythm, a reset, and a reminder of what real community looks like in the middle of a fast-paced city.
Since 2016, it’s been serving Zuidas more than just food—it’s been offering something to return to. And I feel lucky to help tell that story—plate by plate, post by post, and person by person.
So whether you’re here to crush a burger, sip a cocktail, or enjoy one of the most inviting restaurants in Amsterdam’s Zuidas—you’re always welcome.
And if you’ve got a favorite dish or vendor? Let me know. I’m still discovering something new every week.
